Hey there, friends! In addition to making flower arrangements to put on display around the house, something else I LOVE to do is design a gorgeous, layered tablescape.
And ever since discovered the magical world of milk glass, I’d love to share why this vintage staple is a fantastic choice for tablescapes. While many often think of milk glass as classic white, it actually comes in an array of colors, from soft pastels to rich jewel tones and even black, making it a versatile addition to any seasonal table setting. Here are a few of my favorite ways that I’ve incorporated milk glass into my tablescapes over the years:
For the Love of Jewel Tones:

Oh this jewel-tones-for-Fall table is ALL.THE.THINGS. …and it features three different milk glass pieces: the Kemple Pedestal Bowl in the center, McGee Dessert Cups as candle holders, and finally the Westmoreland fan vases.
Spring into Action

And now: Spring Pastels! How lovely are these Randall Glass Wheat planters and this Daisy and Button double taper candle holder? Chef’s kiss! There’s something SUPER special about how pastels pop against the white, especially as we prepare to welcome spring.
Deck the Holidays

Two of the most recognizable patterns for milk glass are no doubt hobnail and grapes, which is why I combined them for my Christmas table a few years ago.
Here, little hobnail planters are flanked by paneled grape taper candle holders.
Sophisticated Halloween:

Black milk glass shines in this elevated tablescape, which shows you can do a Halloween theme without it looking too on the nose. This tables features a pair of black glass water goblets on the ends and in the middle, a large two-handled trophy vase.
As you can see, in addition to its timeless appeal, milk glass can seamlessly transition from one season to the next, allowing you to create stunning tablescapes year-round.
Plus, its ability to mix and match with other materials means you can always put your unique stamp on your design. So not matter what gathering you’re preparing for–or if you’re just looking to elevate your everyday experience–consider incorporating milk glass into your tablescape.
It’s not just about aesthetics; it’s about creating a space where memories will be made.
Cheers to you and to all the beautiful spaces you’ll create!
